GANDIKOTA TRIP

The Gandikota fort - 4/12/2020 

It is one of the most popular tourism place in India 🇮🇳

And it was located near by YSR KADAPA DISTRICT,ANDHRA PRADESH.

It is located correctly in

JAMALAMADUGU TOWN To 14KM Distance away . 

The 14KM distance road is simply super for Bike riding's.

Gandikota area was first identified and made Sand fort in 1123 by Kakatiya Raja of nearby Bommanapalle village and a subordinate of Ahavamalla Someswara , KALYANI CHALUKYA ruler. 

Gandikota came under the rule of KAKATIYA dynasty from 1239 A.D to 1304 A.D and ruled by their various subordinates. 

Gandikota became the capital of Pemmasani Nayakas who ruled the fort and Gandikota region for more than 300 years. In 1652 A.D Pemmasani Timma Nayaka lost Gandikota battle with the attack of Mir Jumla, military general of QUTAB SAHI dynasty.

Gandikota then came under the power of GOLKONDA sultanate and Timma Nayaka became their feudatory king. After the fort captured by Abdul Nawab Khan, it became the part of British India . 

Many families fled Gandikota to escape the persecution under the rule of Abdul Nawab Khan.

• After reaching gandikota firstly .,i noticed this ....? 

The long and height built-up with stone masonry. 



•The stone masonry walls shows the entrance to GANDIKOTA FORT. 

 

                         *ENTRANCE GATE* 

•while following this Stone masonry walls . 

The long and  big doors will apear 😯

But.., it had some repair the door's is damaged at buttom . 

•Its managed with long wooden stick . 

•The long wooden stick is attached middle of the door's. 

•After entering into the main gate firstly i can see this.., its simply super built up and also it have smooth finishing. 

• In this long and tall fort there are lot of bird's are leaving now .

Like Dove, parrot, Sparrow, crow.. Etc

                                    *JAIL*

•The Gandikota is also have long and huge big jail and it have three entrances . 

•it is completly closed up with steel fencing. 

• The inner part of the jail, there are random bunch separate rooms for thief's . 



        *MADHAVARAYA SWAMY TEMPLE*

•After that..in left side there is Temple called MADHAVARAYA SWAMY TEMPLE. 

•It is more attracted with long height Gopuram. 

•it is also major attraction for the Gandikota. 

•And it is more popular for  wedding shoots. 

•The temple have more and large species place. 

•And it is also filled with greenery. 

                            *Jumma masjid*

•The entrance of Jumma masjid . 

•its have long walls and it has super exterior. 

•The Jumma masjid is look like as Charminar. 

•But.., The charminar has four pillers and this jumma masjid have two pillers only. 

            *Raghunatha swamy temple*

•Raghunatha Swamy Temple in Gandikota is a complex system of pillars, hallways, and corridors.

•Though there is no statue inside the sanctum, but remnants of the temple are ideal for photographers.

•Made out of red granites, the temple is a small one but the architecture and sculptures in the premises are typical of Vijayanagara temples.

*And also there is an Granary for Gandikota 

In the middle of Jumma masjid & Raghunatha swamy temple. 

I missed it . 😌

But i can show you.. What its look like..? 

•The bird background  is built up with  brick masonry and it is the Granary for Gandikota. 

•In olden days it is used for as to store the ration items in this room. 

•its a big and long storage room and its have also steps.
